Hi! I'm Paulo

Hi! I’m Paulo FerreiraI’m a designer from Brazil (hot!) living in Winnipeg (cold, very cold!).

With a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and a post-graduation in Marketing Management, both in Brazil, I have training in Advertising, Graphic Design, Art and Creative Direction. Also have a Digital Media Design Diploma from Red River college, where I graduated with Honours in 2019.

Working for over 15 years in full-size advertising agencies I have an extensive experience on a wide range of projects such as print an online ads, brochures, logo and package design, brand identity and other specific visuals. I also coordinated creative teams to develop brand identities and advertising campaigns.

Here in Canada, I’m currently working at the Brandish Agency as Manager of Design Services, leading a team of designers to build consistent, creative and outstanding brands and campaigns. Fostering a culture of mentorship, collaboration and design excellence.

Creative Direction

As Creative Director I had the opportunity to work with and lead creative team in a variety of projects. From advertising campaigns, logo and brand identity projects, packaging and editorial products.

From facilitating brainstorm sessions, mood boards, creative guidance and quality assurance, my work as Creative Director is usually very "hands-on" and adapts to the team's profile.

Team Management

As Manager of Design Teams, my focus is on leading the designers to build consistent, creative, and outstanding brands, projects and campaigns. Fostering a culture of mentorship, collaboration, and design excellence.

In this role I try to be a facilitator, making sure that designers are up to date with the most recent technology, trends, and best practices.

Feedback plays a crucial role in my approach to leadership, both in and out. Candid and constructive feedback makes us all better teammates and, ultimately, better persons.


Graphic Design

This is where all began. Here you can see some of my work as Graphic and Digital Designer: from traditional print and digital advertising campaigns to websites, package design and brand identity systems.

As a Designer my work always start with a simple question: "what is the real problem that we are trying to solve?"
Focus on real and tangible challenges will lead us to real and actionable solutions.

Creative Direction- LaFortune Home

In this project, I had the pleasure to direct two great designers and help bring this rebrand project to life.

LaFortune Home is a family-owned and operated landscaping and contracting company in Manitoba. They needed a rebrand to better symbolize the new phase of the business, more professional and timeless.

Working with Sky Dheere and Chloe Kandilakis, we tackled this project head-on, from initial mood boards and loose concepts to the final and polished version of the new identity.

Creative Direction - Flora Condominiums

Working with the talented duo Alex Fisher and Michelle Slobodian, our team developed the logo and visual identity for the new StreetSide development in Winnipeg - Flora Condominiums.

From initial mood boards, concepts to the final iteration of the logo, including naming, the team had a lot of autonomy to drive the design and the conversation around the project.
